General - Frequent Asked Questions

  • I Forgot my Password – please click on – Lost my Password link, under either Landlord or Client/Potential Tenant.
  • How do you sign up? – To sign up for services, go to either Landlord or Client/ Potential Tenant and click on the Sign-up Link. If you are signing up as a Landlord, you will need to be contacted by one of our representatives to validate your account. If you are signing as a Client/Potential Tenant you will have access to the “Site” right after you will confirm your account by verifying your email.
  • Can you register to try the service without paying? – All services are free for Client/Potential Tenant and Landlords. As a Client/Potential Tenant you only pay when you are ready to make contact to the Landlord and make appointments to see apartments. As a Silver Member, you will have access to all our service, beside being able to see all Landlord Contact Information. As a Landlord, you can post your listings, apartments for free. You only pay if you would like to Contact Client/Potential Tenant directly or would like to place your listings so all Silver and Gold Members could see.
  • How much does it cost to become a member? – Our services are offered only to Client/Potential Tenants and Landlords/Owners/Property Management Companies. As a Client/Potential Tenants you have 3 options, you can be a visitor/guess, Silver Member and Gold Member. A visitor/Guest………..
  • What is the Trynofee.com /Trynofee, Inc. Refund Policy? – We will provide a full 100% refund (minus the AVI’s $15 Service fee) if you will find an apartment from a Landlord, not listed in our Database, or if you will end up paying a Real Estate Broker Fee.
  • If you unsubscribe from daily, weekly email alerts, does your account remain active? – Yes, your email alerts are just an added feature your account comes with.
  • How often do I receive updates on apartment listings? You need to manually set this feature up, after which you will receive email alerts based on your saved search criteria, as listings come into our database.
  • How do I edit my profile? – To edit your profile, you must login into your account and click on My Profile under the Client/ Potential Tenant’s menu.
  • Does Trynofee.com/Digital Outsourcing, Inc. list short-term rentals, furnished apartments and/or sublets? – Yes, we do list short-term rentals, furnished and/or sublets, but we specialize in Unfurnished-Apartments. We advice that you should find other companies that specialize in short-term rentals, furnished and/or sublets.
  • How long does my account stay active? - Your account will stay active as a Gold Member (Paid Subscription) for the duration of your initial purchases time frame. (Either 7, 30 or 90 Days). Anyone could signup for a free account (Silver Member) for an unlimited period of time.
  • How do I deactivate my account? – Your Gold Membership will automatically deactivate itself, upon the expiration of your purchase time – frame. Your Silver membership will stay active as long as you choose. To completely close your account, please send us an email, or call our Customer Service Representative.
  • How do you contact the landlord once you find an apartment through the Trynofee.com/Digital Outsourcing, Inc. service? – You can contact the Landlord, either by email, phone, fax or by attending many of the Open Houses you will find under Open House page.
  • What should I bring with me when I sign a lease? – Each Landlord / Property Management company is different. The basic documents required to rent an apartment are: Apartment Application, Credit Check (not a mandatory task), Letter of Employment, Pay stabs, Letter of Recommendation from prior Landlord, etc.
  • I'm apartment hunting with a roommate. Can we each get e-mail alerts? – Yes, you can get unlimited emails added to your account. Only one use
  • I'm apartment hunting with a roommate. Can we each get a user name? – No, There is one user name for each Account, either Silver or Gold. You can share your user name with your roommate, but only one person will be allowed to be online as the same time.  
  • Can I have more than 1 (one) search profile? – You can have unlimited search profiles, email alerts.

  • What makes you different from traditional brokers?
  • What makes you different from other "No Fee" rental companies, such as craigslist.com, backpage.com, etc? – First of all, we are a Licensed Apartment Information Vendor, which is regulated by the NYS Department of Licensing services. Each AVI, must provide a Refund-Policy, User Registration and a state the source of each apartment listing posted on the website.
  • What makes you different from other AVI’s (Apartment Information Vendors) – Our services are complemented by a great philosophy. Use our services for free. Anyone could take full advantage of our powerful website and database system. You only pay at your leisure and your Silver Account never expires. We are offering discount codes for Students, Registered Corporations, Marketing & Promotional Materials, ½ Price for Membership Renewal, and many more.
  • I have never rented an apartment on my own before. Do you have any literature to help me get started and organized? – Yes, please go under Resources on our main page. You don’t have to be a member to access this information.
  • If my credit rating is not good, what are some strategies? – Each Landlord/Property Management Company is different. Just by having a not so good credit, it doesn’t meet you are out of luck. Ask if additional rent, a guarantor or someone else can apply or help make your application stronger.
  • What if I haven't established credit? -
  • What is a guarantor? How do I find one? What if I don't have one? – Guarantors are individuals, that are used to help strengthen your application. Almost anyone over the age of 18 could act as a guarantor. In general a Guarantor is a parent, guarding, relative or friend. Ask your network of friends who might be able to help. If finding a Guarantor is a problem, discus with the Landlord/Property Management Company, the option of paying more rent in advance as a Guarantee.
  • I have a pet. What's the best way to find a place? – To search building that allow pets, please select the Advance Search feature of the site
  • What are the methods of payment that are accepted for www.trynofee.com? - We are accepting Personal or Business Checks, Money Orders, Paypall, Visa, Mastercard, Discover and American Express.  
  • How can I get a discount code? – Most of our discount codes, comes from either Referals or from our Promotional and Marketing Materials.
  • How do I save the listings that interest me? – You can save listings that interest you for future access.
  • Rebates from landlords – Some Landlords/Property Management Companies, offer Rebates such us, ½ Month Free Rent, 1 Month Free Rent, Complementary Gym Membership, etc. To search listings that offer Rebates, please use the Advance Search feature of the site.
